A naive woman once whispered,

“Goddess, talk to me.”

And in the distance, a cricket chirped

But she did not hear.



In frustration, she cried,

“Goddess, speak to me!”

And thunder rolled across the heavens

But she did not listen.



The girl searched about and demanded

“Goddess... Let me see you.”

And a star shone brightly

But she did not notice.



She shouted,

“Goddess! Show me a miracle!”

And a life was born..

But she did not know it.



The woman wailed in despair,

"Touch me, Goddess! Let me know you are there!"

And so, the Goddess reached down

And touched her.



But the she simply brushed the butterfly off

And walked away unknowingly.
