I was trapped in a fairytale when I went to sleep last night

I felt like I was Cinderella, like the shoe fit just right

you were my prince charming, I found you on the dance floor

but then when I looked back you weren't with me anymore

I guess my time was up, the clock must have struck midnight

and before I knew it I was alone and you were out of sight

I waited all night for you to come back but when morning came

the only person here was just me sitting calling out your name

how could it be that you slipped through my hands

disappeared before my eyes no footprints in the sand

was I dreaming I was Cinderella like I have in the past

was I suppossed to know that things like this never last

tears are in my eyes I wonder if you are out there somewhere crying too

cause I have spent so many nights here alone wishing I could be with you



it was a dance that night with you that will never be forgot

I'm sure so many girls that night would of loved to be in my spot

for once I felt important, really felt like I was someone

your eyes were so kind, they were shining like the sun

I never wanted that moment we were together to end

but now I fear that I will never see you ever again

If there was a fairy Godmother I'd ask her to bring you back

cause without you my heart seems like it's so out of wack
