so this is it, I have to say goodbye to you

your leaving this place and going somewhere new

I wish you could stay because your my sunshine

but now here we are, I am running out of time

what should my last words to you be, my mouth is dry

my sunshine is fading more and more darkness fills the sky

I had never had a friend like you before, never in my life

you showed me the way and guided me into the shining light

you gave me the best gift of all, your friendship from you to me

and even though your leaving I know that everything was meant to be

you were meant to find me and I was meant to find you

we were given to each other to get each other through

through the tough times we held each others hands

when we were ready to fall we helped each other stand

we fought each others monsters, slayed each others dragons till they went away

we laughed together and cried together and shared our experiences every day

you were a flower that I found the day we met for the first time

and even though soon you will be gone, you will always be my sunshine

goodbye my friend, you will always be in my heart and in my memory

when your happy, when your sad, when you need a friend, remember me

cause even though our time together may be coming to an end

we will always have each other, you will always be my friend

and your sunshine in my life will always keep my sky blue

cause I know now that God's gift to me was finding you
