H-over-Her

she dropped her masks and all her covers
and slowly walked my way
time is always cheating us
But as it seems she's mine today
She was shedding her clothes one by one
She laid her body to the ground....
I loaded up and shot it in
and finally settled down.....
I used to think I could find a home
In the arms of a love I struggled long
to find and keep as pure
but I'm so tired now, and out of darkness
there comes little light in shadows drowned....
and sunken in
I'm sinking now and I can feel the old hunter
closing in......

I like the different images of revealing, stolen time, surrender, and ending. "I loaded up and shot it in" was such a shock of contrast to the beautiful image of the woman coming to you but effective. It gave the demarcation for the feeling of resignation at the end. Nice work. You profile showed up on the main page. That is how I found you today.

Damn...I wasn't expecting this. A very brave poem for you, my friend. Very outspoken, very free poetry here. I love it!! It is the best kind, to say thoughts outloud that you once would only think inside. I dig it!!!
