The Cry of the Heart’s Lie
The worry you cause me. Thinking your heart may disagree.
How could this be? Am I losing the love of thee?
The clouds darken in the sky. As my world falls from up high.
This silence makes me wanna cry. The distance makes me want to die.
You took my picture way. You sit there, mind fallen astray.
Oh how I wish and pray. You would come back to me some day.
At the night’s end, you seem to tend, to leave completely Zen. Quiet to defend.
You say you feel yourself breaking inside. I damn near almost cried.
I’m sorry I’m like a roller coaster ride; our love appears to be tied.
Hanging over a pit of fire, the flames blazing higher and higher.
And only if we both desire, can we pass this thin wire.
If you’re going to, please just do. Clearly I will miss you. But it’s best to stay true….
