limping, God has changed my name,
like Jacob on the road to Canaan,
wrestling with my sin and shame,
every misstep, fault and daemon.
roundabout my every turning,
walking down the road of strife,
forward by His pillar burning,
lead into the Way of life.
grief abounds and fear assails me,
pleadingly my heart submits,
to the Lord who never fails me,
unto His will my will commits.
faith approved and doubt rejected,
I find myself in Christ accepted.
