When Nothing Turns Out to be Everything

She sits alone in her room.

It's covered with pictures of friends.

So many friends.

So far away.

She misses the summer.

Those carefree nights,

There was always nothing to do.

That didn't matter though,

That was when the memories were made.

Somewhere between the movie nights, frisbee

games, and falling asleep on her couch.

Memories were made.

And all she wants now is to go back.

Back to those friends,

And those nights where nothing turned out to be everything.

Author's Notes/Comments:

One of my friends had been out to Geneseo to visit and it got me thinking about how much I missed those boring old frisbee/movie nights of Burnt Hills.
