i stood in the shadows

as you passed me by

i knew your name

but you didn't know mine

i longed for your touch

your loving embrace

a soft kiss

your sweet taste

i emerged from the shadows

as you walked away

to tell you my name

and ask you to stay

you accepted my offer

and came back to my side

now we'll be together

till the day we die
