To My Love

I know that this sounds sappy,

Believe me, i know its true,

But my love you make me happy,

All i think about is you,

You picked me up when i fell down,

And with a kiss it went away,

The pain and all the sorrow,

That i'd felt every single day,

Your pure blue eyes burned in my mind,

Your voice is soft like a melody,

My dear you've got me hypnotized,

Please just hold me gently...

I've never written like this,

But for you it's over due,

You see, my love i'm defensless,

i surrender my all to you.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Its been a while since i have posted any of my work, or since i have showcased my writtings to anyone. I hit a temporary dry spell, but in my attempt of finding myself, and soul searching, i met the man of my dreams. I am happy to be back, i hope you enjoy reading my welcome back poem, just as much as i enjoyed writing it!

Writing in ballad form is very difficult; it is a form I can never master, but I do like reading good ones, and this poem is a very good one.  It is a triumphant poem with which to return to postpoems.
