Leaders of the past.

Do you hear the words of our leaders of yesturday?
Do you see the meaning of their actions?
Do you know the value of their pain?
Do you understand all they did?
For all of us today, they spoke up stood up,
They delt with the hate.
They felt the harsh lashing of words that discriminate.

They felt many wounds made by knives and bullets. But they never said they couldn't.
They always believed that they could, and none knew they would Make a difference in the future.
Do you hear, do you see, all they did for you and me?
They took away all the hate, and protected every state. They raised their voices and spoke the truth, ignoring the law and the rude. Ducking the punches and all the hard hits. Trying to protect all their kins. Many days of long labor, and very little rest. Trying to make a differancd and forgetting the threats.
Showing the enimeys, showing the world, that they would do well. And rebel against the wrong and would not go along. They would not follow, they would lead, the people would change the worlds evil greed.

They would fight for those rights that were lost and not found.
They would make such a loud sound. They would protect all day long, with all the signs and cops all around.
They put their lives on the line for all of us. To protect, to help, and make us all free.
For a future of respect and deserved equality. To make us all one, no matter what color, no matter what sex. That we would be treated fairly. They went all over to fight for our rights of speech and beliefs
They shot many people, stole many lives, to protect us from those crazy guys. To keep us safe.

They fought every day, but when will this all change?
When will the battles end? When we are all stiff and dead?
When will it end , when will we see, that all we need is to agree?
To stop the killings to leave and let everyone be.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem 4 years ago, I'm not quite sure why. I know I was in history class, and this poem talks about wars, soldiers, battles, leaders, racism, rights. Freedom, and equality. It talks about how they all fought for our rights, beliefs, our land, and equality. That we should all be free and equal. And towards the end it says that after all they did for it, why do racisim, anger, hate, and ext... Still exist? Idk exactly why I wrote this, but after re reading it, that's what I got out of it. Hope it helps to explain this poem. :)

Lol, It may have been random,

Lol, It may have been random, but you probably had something on your mind, hidden in the back, and you didn't know it, but it was influencing you to write it out.
