Wow, I hurt for you,
Still they must love you very much if they are still holding on so tight, hoping maybe they mould you in a better light... This is one of my deepest fears as a parent. I hope I am gracious enough to le my 13yrd ol blossom in to life but I also hope they respect me enough to trust me to do what I think is right for them no matter how tough. We all receive love in many ways howver, not in the form that we want to recieve it. This is conditional love and inspires great pain longing and conflict. But if we accept the love in the form that it is given, reminded our own way is not so appropriate either then a lot of the pain seems to fall away. You tend to find the love you need/want somewhere else thus filling the need but this doesn't negate the love you received. I am a hard working parent I help many I tell my kids I love them and when they disappoint me but I love them. I don't give them freedom the world is to crazy for that, instead I give them trust and pray every day they will be ok. My parents relationship was a total mismatch of love and expectations ultimately we tend to hate what we don't want to see I ourselves. Ive become just like them. Hope your journey works out- hugs xx
