Iterosculate Challenge:

Celibacy is not a cursed fate.

Don't get me wrong, it's not as if I don't relate.

There are times that desires may be great.

But even so Self-control should be your mandate.

in fact it's something to celebrate.

So listen--I'm serving truth up on a plate.

Because when you rush and let him penetrate,

Thinking this will cause him to want to be your mate,

You’ll be sorely disappointed when all it does is complicate.

When you carelessly toss out the goods, the most you’ll ever rate

Is about on par with a nocturnal emission or when he decides to masturbate.

And once the deed is done, it’ll be too late.

You can’t take it back or rewind and contemplate.

I’m not trying to hurt any feelings or spark a debate.

There’s no need to get defensive and irate.

There’s nothing wrong with making him—and you—wait.

Self-respect is what you’ll create,

When you take the time to first let your minds and hearts, instead of just your bodies, interosculate.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Wrote this a year (Jan 2015) ago in response to a friend's challenge to write a poem with the word interosculate.

Thank you!

It not a popular point of view, but I think it should be!
