The pictures of you

I will never get you back

so why cry now

I told you I loved you

You said you forgot how

Your words tore me inside and out

I did everything but i never figured it out

what went wrong

What came out of my mouth

I screamed for you

But you didnt want to listen

When i was gone

You had no clue i was missing

Your words tore me inside and out

I did everything but i never figured it out

what went wrong

What came out of my mouth

Now i lay here and stare at pictures of you

While you tell me how much you love me and what you would do

Why should i cry now

Ten years later iv figured it out

every once in a while i still think about

Your words tore me inside and out

I did everything but i never figured it out

what went wrong

What came out of my mouth

Looking at the pictures of you

I rememberd

I told you i loved you

all the broken hearts of love, they all have similar
themes, mine as well. I thought I had a special case
but apparently not after reading your poem/
I guess I was right about your "worthless tears"
it was caused by love afterall.

I like your style of writing.
You let your emotions fly all over the page.

Jonathan George's picture

I'll be honest, I'm not usually a huge fan of this free-flowing, non-punctuation type poems. But... I really liked this one... Everything building up to the ending, the repetition in it all works very well.
Honestly, I loved it :) Keep it up.
