We know this is true.
But there are some people
who help your way through
These people are sincere,
Caring, and kind.
They do these things
that keep death off your mind.
It can be a little notion,
A wave, a talk, or a hug,
That keeps you from sorrow
and popping another drug.
The best thing, though,
Is the overall effect.
It makes you feel
Like you're not a reject.
To these people
I would like to say
Thank you for making me
Feel this way.
