"A Soul of Fire"



A soul of fire, burning within me,

A bridge of stone, spanning the breach,

A heart of ice, falling inside me,

Someone deep inlying, longing to reach,

And it's been long since I've had the privilege of feeling,

But even longer since I've felt like this,

My feelings spinning around me,

Falling deep into the abyss,

A purpose unrecognizable,

My heart beating out of my soul,

Who could say I even had one?

From the way I was acting only days ago,

A set of walls, collapsing around me,

An open book, the pages turn,

My mind, taking leaps of logic,

With each page, I find more to learn,

A piece of history, long forgotten, now remembered,

Floats to the surface of my dreams,

A memory of a time long ago, a time reborn,

And every moment that I live it seems,

That my heart is brimming with passion,

My feet, hitting the ground with each step I take,

Us, spinning around on the dance floor,

Love surrounds me, as if swimming in a lake,

Blessings shower down upon me,

My spirits, oh, how they soar,

I look up, and you kiss me gently,

As you carry me through the door.
