We sit alone, beneath the sky,

Surrouned by the fading light,

Holding onto each other,

Looking into the night.



Side by side, we are,

You seeing into my heart,

Your words sink into me,

Making me believe we were never apart.

And I can see the stars,

Each one a reason I need you,

Going on infinitely,

And as they shine, I see you,

I see them dance,

Like the fire in your eyes,

I see the stars,

As plain as I see you by my side.





And we are silent,

Gazing at the moon,

Wishing it would last forever, but,

Knowing this will end too soon.



I want to fly away,

Stay with you for eternity,

Smiling at the stars,

And you here with me.
