I took for granted that you loved me,

Thought you'd always be mine,

But now our love lays shattered,

Amongst the broken dreams and lies,

I told you that I loved you,

Yet left you alone time after time,

Neglected and forgotten,

It seemed to fit with my design,

My arrogance prevented me,

From realizing my mistake,

I can't help but realize it now,

As I lay here alone and awake,

Admitting to myself how much I love you,

Crying as I hear the rain,

Like the tears from my eyes,

It falls hitting the window pane,

My meaningless promises to you,

Are now even more empty than before,

I wish I could fulfill them,

This end has left me wanting more,

Now it's probably too late to love you,

But please, just give me another chance,

I'll show you love beyond degree,

A love beyond all circumstance.
