Facing The Odds Of The Wishing Well

Do your memories haunt you?
Do they wait in the dark just on the other side of closed eyes, as if they still want you?
Have you ever prayed for serenity as your demons crawl out from your past?
Do you feed them the moments you wished you had back?
Does your dreams ever go missing?
Like the moments your still chasing?
Did your wings fail?
Leaving you right back facing the odds of that wishing well and thinking, could I catch their coin and buy their heart.
Are you waiting for something. . . And never knowing what it is your waiting for?
Happiness is a fleeting feeling in a moment, the last thing you set free is the feeling, knowing you want it.
Have you ever tried alone knowing it's pointless, but if you quit you know. . . You know it'd be over.

Been there, experienced all

Been there, experienced all that, but have never been able to articulate it at all, and definitely not able to put it in the terms you have achieved in your excellent poem.
