Someone once told me

"still waters run deep"



Do they?  Have you dipped in your hand to find out?

Did it reach the bottom?



Maybe you found burried treasure and stole it.

Maybe a scorpion bit your hand instead.



Maybe you only gaze into the water

but never venture in, never dive.



And even if I came to you from behind and pushed,

and you fell head first into those waters,



You still wouldn't see.

And somehow I would be the one that drowned.
