Insanity

The hopeless is far from the hopeful

So I will plead insanity

I pleaded as innocent as a babe

Unrepented

nailed by glory and mercy

I spoke as hail brought the rain

as it seeps through my subconscious thoughts

Had I not any...

I would be stiff as a dried up biscuit

One who pleads insanity is sane I believe

Hope stands proud as a young soldier forgets

how to sing the national anthem

What are we dying for?

What are we crying for?

Were we found guilty way before we

were dragged by injustice?

Were we not sane then?

Shackled by our hands and feet

Unfaithful

Unrepented

Where was God while we were in captivity?

Where was God in our unfaithfulness?

or...

Are we too insane that we forgot to remember

how we premeditated our defense?

or...

Were we too insane to say that we are hopeful

and..

repentful

before...

we are put to death

Hey sis wassup.. I feel this one. I had to reread and rethink on this poem. I understand it now. You know I gotta be a poet like you when I grow up (lol). Keep up the good work sis.
