but it matters not to me my friend

for my life begins with you



I think of you no matter what I do

when we are apart the world is blue

I can not think all is a haze

people think I'm in a daze

My heart will beat but all alone

it has no rhythm, no rhyme, no tone

it just beats on and on like an unanswered phone

no one to hear, no one to care, because no one is there

a more lonely sound, can not be found

like the cry of a loon or hound

crying for something that is not around

oh what a terrible, lonely sound
