Once in a life time

Selling to the lowest bidder,

Losing out and growing bitter.

Taking two and losing four,

its not surprising that you are

Falling behind,

From always being kind.

I wasn't shocked,

I wasn't surprised,

To see that something happened

That was once in a life time.

Nothing is definite and nothing is sure,

But we'll fit the mould as we grow old.

Through our existence (our mediocre lives)

This is what we'll dream of,

And this is what we'll find,

That we will grow to,

And we'll accept

This as the end of the road,

And we missed out on the best.

There’s a hand that won’t reach

A teacher that wont teach,

1000 men, 1000 friends,

1000 excuses and reasons to end

This on a high while you end down low,

It’s not my problem that you can't control

What goes on when I can't be there,

To mop up every mess

And to look after the rest of your life.

Is that what you want? Is that what you need?

Why not be blunt,

Without a moment to spare.

Tell me while you're smiling and why you care,

What  I do with myself when you know I'm fine,

But you don't have a problem with how you live your life.
