Time stands still, or so it seems
When you're bored out of your mind
Yet it flies so fast, you cannot believe
When you're busy being decieved.
I gave up my time, something valuable to me,
I tried to show you love, that's how it should be.
But you turned me away, time and time again,
Then you said to me, "Let's still be friends."
With all that has happened,
I don't know if I can see,
My being friends with you, and you friends with me.
We've been through too much,
And only time could have told,
That our relationship would have ended so cold.
It hurt a lot for me to hear those words
And the very thought seemed absured.
But I saw it coming, though denied the truth
Still believing what I wanted was you.
We fell apart fast, maybe faster than we should,
But I know time had it's dirty hands, and I knew it would.
What we had together was too good to be true,
And saddest part of all, I really loved you.
But where did that come from?
How far did it go?
How could you see it?
How could you let it go?
I always thought love to be
the strongest force of all,
But it seems when compared to time,
it?s really quite small.
