I've never had a monkey
On my back, but
I have a snake in my ear
He hears all my despair
Knows all my secrets and
Whispers sweet nothings to
Me when I'm down
He let's me know when
I'm wrong and how
I can never be right
He's good at smelling out
My fears and laying eggs
Of insecurities there
When I feel like quitting
He wraps around my neck
And flicks his tongue in
My face, most days I
State back defiantly but
There are nights when
I'm alone and I let
Him strangle me, when I
Wake up the next day
I'm always surprised and
I think to myself why
Am I still alive but
I don't think I'll have
to worry much longer
Thoroughly enjoyed !!!
Mr Diamond . This was a shining piece

"Well, it's love, but not as we know it."
