You were like a sugar high.
You came on sudden and
Sweet, made me race with
Energy from out of nowhere,
Made me want to be silly,
Made all my thoughts spin.
Then just as quickly as
You came on, you evaporated.
Leaving me crashing hard,
And with less energy then before.
While it’s true I don’t
Have much of a sweet tooth,
I did for you.
The Metaphor
is well aligned to the emotions of loss and regret. Short/sweet. Sounds like Toffler's throw away relationships - fast in search trying to keep up, but losing the race perpetually. Sad. - Lady A
