Oh northbound bird in flight
wish you would take me with you
from this place where no love is in sight
where the color unlike your backdrop sky
is a deeper shade of blue
Her anger still seems to be, etched in stone
unchanged and undaunted, by nights alone
insane and unwanted, this bird has flown
for I have grown older, and she has grown colder
same angered Sunshine, tell by her email tone
So call it as you see it, but we both know the truth
tell all who will believe it, if your conscience will be soothed
I’ll choose to keep you on this pedestal
Lie to my heart, if not to my paradigm mind
Someday maybe another will bestow
perhaps upon you what awaits, will only come with time
And if someday you should look to the sky
and gaze upon a southbound bird in flight
should you too, feel a deeper shade of blue
decide you can’t take another lonely night
Find that love is an answer, not a question or a fight
that it doesn’t matter, who is wrong, or who is right
When you cannot get any sadder, and don’t want to give, anymore pain
Look for me, run to me, and come to me, for I’ll love you...just the same
