Unsuspecting Soul

The radio serves to fool the soul

Tags along with favorite song

Alone to it’s self

It doesn’t know

It is dying

As the wind outside howls out her name

Sings its song with passion

The earth seems to gravitate with a certain

Sadness of watching this story

However bold or bitter…unfold

He wonders if only he

Has prayed, the wind to stop

In vain, he realizes he has not complete control

As the radio plays, the wind speaks to him again

Serenades the lonely soul without warning…or mercy

The innocence of the bystanding heart

Unsure which way it should go

Captures the essence of uncertainty

Trying in vain to shelter what remains

To no avail…it too… is dying

Willow the Wisp, into the mist of morn

He will beckon for an end to this wind

Still, the wind will once again sing to him

The song he has come to forlorn

He will let emotions go, in uncanny timely manner

For the time is near, there will be no fear

Soon the heart and soul will join this song

Sing in harmony…and then the song will end

Lest you listen closely, as the wind will begin to sing again

To another…unsuspecting soul
