You walked in to my life

Just a friend you wanted to be

But I had feelings strong and deep

Feelings I knew, never to be returned to me



I grew to know you

Grew to love you more each day

I loved you so much it hurt to know

You'd never feel the same



Still we grew closer

and closer each day

But still you did not want me



And then one day

I figured out

What you were just

to shy to say

You did want me in that way

so I brought up my courage

Burried deep within myself

And offered you my heart

A gift upon myslef
