Timeless treasures

Often caught up in a quest for numbers,
Trifling games a delicate mind plays out.
When mere quantity over quality is preferred,
It shows when the product comes about.
Whether building timeless instruments or
scripting the written word,
only well constructed works of art,
subsist through time to be heard.
Flooding the stage with cheap imitations,
makes not the sound they want to hear.
It's one Stradivarius, so lovingly created
which brings sweet music to the ear.
