Moon and Star in the Morning

Nature's Wonders In the morning I wake,
And start getting ready for the day.
I take a shower, brush my teeth and hair,
And get dressed.
As I walk into the dining room,
I don't go directly to the kitchen.
Instead, my attention is caught
by the clear sky to the east.
The horizon is lighting, the sun is coming.
But above the horizon and to the south,
is the bright sliver of the moon.
And above the moon and to the south,
is the bright morning star.
I look for a while, then go into the kitchen.
But while I make breakfast, I look to the east.
And take in the beauty of the sunrise,
And the beginning of a new day.
