I am but a grain of sand
washed ashore on lonely strand
a dust mote gently drifting by
to irritate a stranger's eye.
I make no mark, I leave no sign
on the counterpane of time
a blinking of the cosmic eye
a fading memory when I die.
Yet you will know me
when I'm gone.
A glow of me
will yet live on.
I'll be the shifting sparkling gleam
of sunset mirrored on the stream.
Moonbeam's soft and silken light
sifting through the stars at night.
I'll be the last thought on your mind
as you drift to sleep so kind.
I'll be the dream just as you wake
and the last breath that you take.
Very nicely written!

Psalms Are Poems
Every line, lovely and masterfully penned - I floated on air and on water and on words so melodious, so intricate with feelings I wanted to sing this lyric to the world - Encore. Where did you go, New Brunswick? ~Allets~
