Winter in Japan

Don’t

Leave

Just

Breathe

In the air

In my arms

Free from harm

No footprints on our path

No consequence, no aftermath

Free from harm

In my arms

Gently falling snow

Has nowhere else to go

So we welcome it with open arms

In this silence we hear the sacred sound

Oceans of white in the air and on the ground

On our path we see the sacred sight

In the darkness, there is a light

If I can no longer stay

At least I know of a life this way

Here in the white, here in the gray

And if I have nowhere else to go

I always know that I have a home

Here in the shadow, here in the snow

Don’t

Fear

Just

Hear

The words I have to say

Free from harm

No danger on our path

No animosity, no enemies or wrath

Heavy falling snow

Has nowhere else to go

No need to sound the panic alarms

Welcome it with open arms

In this blizzard we feel the blessed burn

Bridges ablaze and tables will turn

On our path, to an epiphany we arrive

Sometimes we must die before we can feel alive

If I can no longer stay

At least I shared a moment this way

Here in the night, here in the day

And if I have nowhere else to run

I always know that I can come back to square one

Here in the shadow, here in the sun

And if I have nowhere else to go

I always know that I can drown in the undertow

Here in this silence, here in the snow
