She's on the computer seven hours a day,

Writing to boys who live eighty area codes away.

Browsing through the profiles of boys with black hair,

The deepest secrets two strangers eagerly share.

She'll only date them if they play in a band,

Even though she'll never be able to go to their show or hold their hand.

She leaves a comment and waits for a reply,

Hoping to find her myspace guy.



Well she's only seventeen,

She has this crazy dream,

That she'll meet her soul mate online.

Her eyes are piercing and green,

They're always glued to the screen,

I swear she's gonna end up blind,

Trying to find Mr. Myspace before she's out of time.



I'm on my laptop seven days a week,

Talking to girls that I'll probably never meet.

Searching through the profiles for girls with piercings,

I'll only date them if they have a tongue ring.

Here's a dirty little secret I need to confess,

There's a picture of me in a black and pink dress.

So I'll leave some comments and pray for replies,

Hoping a myspace girl will land in the arms of this lonely guy.



Well she's a drama queen,

I think her name is Kathleen,

But I decided to drop her a line.

She tries to stay with what's scene,

Her hair is dyed aquamarine,

Our hearts one day will intertwine,

Myspace girl is gonna be mine.



A tear of joy spills from her eye and she reads my reply,

Myspace girl has found her myspace guy.



We'll she makes me feel complete,

Even though we'll probably never meet,

I feel like I'm floating on cloud nine.

We live a million miles apart,

But she's still the holder of my heart,

She's another face in the crowd yet is one of kind,

I think I'm gonna tell her I love her next time she's online.
