Streetlights glisten in the pouring rain
Drip drop, the sound makes us insane
Stuck inside where all is dry
Looking out the window and wondering why
We can’t just go outside and give it a try
So we open the door and feel the cold wind
Rush through our lungs and give life to our skin
Put one foot out the door and soon to follow
Our entire bodies the clouds begin to swallow
Drenched deep into our bones we feel the water
Makes our blood colder, but our spirit hotter
There’s no room for apathy underneath the sky
Something that not even the dead can deny
for we all become human during the storm
it is true the soul can never grow where it’s warm
The sun blocked out by a grey dreary blanket
Makes us forget about the day for just a minute
Run back inside before we drown
Standing, dripping, with everyone around
It’s something they will never realize
That all it takes is rain to feel alive
"There’s no room for
"There’s no room for apathy underneath the sky "
Indeed to that : )
