Let’s write a story

Let’s make it appear

As if we know all the answers

Let’s make sure that the end

Leaves no room for more

And that we will be happy

Let’s pretend that if we

Write love, then we will

Find love. Actually, let’s pretend

That this book never ends. That

We will laugh forever and  

The grass will always stay green.

Maybe If in the middle we make

A problem, then we can solve

It together.  Maybe that if we

Close our eyes, we will fall

Asleep and wake up together.

Let’s say we run so fast

That we fall into a field

Of dreams. Perhaps if

We add a bad guy then

He will push us so hard

We hit each other and stick.

Together. Then we can look at him

and laugh. Perhaps we will both

Stand tall like giants. We can

Rip out buildings from the ground

And plant trees that we watch

Grow. We can watch it all

Come together like it was meant to be.

Maybe it should end, because

Maybe if we stay too long

We will not like each other.

So let’s make it end with both of us

Lieing together. Dieing together.

And when I close the book

I realize you never existed.
