She said "I'll miss you" and grabbed a tissue but she didn't even cry.
Without knocking on wood, I understood this had to mean goodbye.
The door slammed and I'll be damned, she said "you should-a known"
Tears finally shed when I hit the bed and found myself alone.
Hyperventilating, breathless, heartbroken, restless, wide awake in this bed
All that remains are the teardrop stains where I've buried my face and head.
Four days of crying, no longer trying, I know I'll never get her back.
A three night haze, the tearful daze of the heartbroken insomniac.
