And I know it's old

And your knowledge is more

Than someone so young could know

And I know that you were beautiful

When I loved you before

Maybe you were Petrarch

And I was your Laura

And you wrote me those immortal words

But I love you now

Even as someone ordinary

I love being just being with you

And I hope we are forever
