Crystals fall from the sky
Their beauty reflects relief
Passion and revival
For a parched dry land
The sky almost seems too heavy
Heavy enough to fall
And the rain keeps on falling
Cool, wet droplets trail down my face
And I am laughing with glee
The scent of the earth
Fills willing nostrils
The air chills warm skin
Dust is washed away
Plants are nourished
Souls are at ease
If not only temporarily
The traffic moves on
Representing life’s busy path
Who will appreciate the rain?
No one seems to have time anymore
For the first time in so long
The frogs sing a chorus
The song of rain
Life will go on
Very beautiful poem Crystal! I have enjoyed it a lot. Cheers.
