At Bethsaida, Under The Fig Tree

"Can any good come out of Nazareth?"

so went the question; answered, "Come and see":

---the valley's Lily, Flower of Prophecy;

---the Still Point about which all History

turns, and the center of our poetry;

---the Bearer of all men's sins' penalty;

---the carpenter, crowned Christ, who conquered death;

---Who wrested from the grave its victory;

---Who has secured real life, eternally

enjoyed by all of those who have received

Him, and upon Him in full faith believed.

The glorious Truth of Him can take your breath

away---the Good that came from Nazareth.
