a1) Is There Ending Eternity?

Everyone owns sky light halos

As sunlight begins to sprinkle

The thinnest strands of hair sparkle

Look now all eyes will turn aflame

Once? everlasting radiance

To Those who always wanted it

What if sounds could only whisper?

Who wants to hear, but won't listen?

With people like you!  Nothing's heard

What was dark blue and light white there?

Hey remember, "Dark Blue Mountains?"

Purple Mountain Majesties

Who Cared?  Who can now remember?

Can light white be thought of as gray?

Winter could change them white covered

Sneaking darkness surrounds what is light

Black trees become two dimensional

Once see through water is now cement

What would reflect the trees and light?

Can rays of white penetrate trees?

All that was once is no longer

Thoughts, dreams, hopes, inspirations start

Then it all happened

Things were changed

It's changing colors all around

We knew

Things would be different now

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem after thinking about some future day when there would be no land left that wasn't built upon.  What if trees were like zoo animals, caged, or museum pieces, only existing in planters with worn out signs that got their names wrong.  I wrote of what one would miss, if it were all gone.  I wrote of the hope of nature returning, despite man attempting to destroy it.

I think with increased population worldwide and land development on the increase too, your evaluation is bang on. We must protect and encourage the environment or we are finished. Great poem, and I liked your message.
