                          YOU

                    I just today, in my home, was all alone.

                  I did'nt enjoy the things I usually do.  It's true.  I'm blue.

    I cancelled all my plans.  Nobody does understand me, see.

         I waited a long time, by the phone.

   I really hoped you would call,

                       Why, out of love, did we have to fall.

                       I sat on my couch, just like a slouch.

       I did'nt say a thing.  I prayed for the phone to ring.

           I sat totally still.  It was not a thrill.
