WHY

     Thought everything was fine.

I was yours.  You were mine.

   We were walking the line.

Status Quo.  Nowhere, we would go.

Why did you make me see, cry?

Why did you make me see, ask why?

What did I say

that make you treat me this way?

We were done.  We would have no more fun.

What did I do,

that you made me feel so blue?

that made you say we were through.

I would just like a clue.

Why this you decided to do

Why did you break my heart?

Why did you say you needed a new start?

Not a squished creature

But perhaps a metamorphisis. At a point in our lives, we live the wonders of being a caterpillar. But when we're ready to reach higher, it's time for wings. Such devastation, just maybe, means we're ready to go to somewhere that relationship couldn't take us. I wish that for you. May the anguish you laid out for us in these words lead, ultimately, to a new and greater joy. Don't disgard what you had, but let it be a springboard when your heart is ready.
