We Were Killing Cats That Night

We can make them mash their mistrust

We can make the bones chatter till homecoming
Even if we wish for half of this
A glass will smash in celebration of us departing
We can make the cold truth turn hot pistol
I showed them late one night with my nails
I dug and scratched at the cliff for kicks
Now the days riot into suspect detectives
"Where you been? Where you going? Don't leave town
We got a couple more questions
Regarding the loss of emotion in a certain someone"
I gave him every alias to save my ass
When it came to spill the scene for them
I dreamt of only you
And the cat we killed
Getting to know our scents
And lack of sense
