I am the cat that chases the bird,

All my friends think I am quite absurd,



I am the cat that catches the mouse,

As it return to it's little house,



I am the cat that laps the milk,

or the cream smooth as silk,



I am the cat that gobbles my food,

Daintily from my own little bowl,



I am the cat that sits on your knee,

Purring away contentedly.
