Winter Comes In Many Colors

Winter comes in many colors

That glisten beneath a frozen sun

Emerald ice falls from slate blue shingles

Shatters silver on the snow-white ground

The cold grey sky casts darker shadows

Red clay shines where someone slipped and fell

The rusty sunset deepens the chill

And reflects off the black nights frozen tears

Winter comes in many colors

And there are many shades of sadness
