In the dark of a storm
By candlelight
Your touch finds me
Hiding under the covers
Terror shaking my body
You draw me out
Your touch calming
And assuring me
That all is alright
i am safe in Your arms
Comforted and held
Kissed and caressed
In the dark of a storm
By candlelight
We make love.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment on A Soldier's Wife. It has been a long time since I have been within the halls of Post Poems.
I really enjoyed reading your newest write to your titles. Very romantic and sweet. I also enjoyed reading your Bio. The i in me is a big thing for me as well.
Boy it has been at least three years since I have been notified by Post Poems that I have a comment. Was really a nice feeling. Thank you again.
Blessings,
Lesa
Forgive a second comment so quickly after the first, but re-reading this poem again, I am even more impressed than I was the first time (and the first time was mighty impressive). I applaud the way, in such few words, you set up both the scene in which the action occurs and the emotions with which it occurs. This, in my opinion, is proof positive of real talent.

This is one of the most beautiful love poems I have ever read!
