He Rose from Death

He rose from death, the Savior rose again,

He conquered, death, destruction, woe and pain,

Forever lasting is His glorious reign

Alleluia! to Jesus Sovereign!

He bore Himself, and took, away the curse

Afflicting mankind and the universe,

He that makes new afresh and makes all whole,

The lover and the bridegroom of our soul

He vanquished Hades’ realms deadly gloom

And broke wide open  charnel house and tomb,

He rose again, He rose triumphantly,

The King, our All In All eternally!

He overthrew the fiend and cast him out,

He said “I AM’ - have faith and do not doubt,

"I AM" who was, who is, and who shall be,

Blessed all those that do believe in me!

I really like this poem as well, I love all your poems!! I often read peoples poems and finish in disbelief when their poetry is upsetting. But no, yours is always so beautiful and rejoicing in our Lord God!! How true it is, its fun for me to read through yours. Thanks again.

Love in Christ,
Marjorie
