your piece says when life dies colors turn to dust who cries. How can it be us if we are but a part of life that died. Unless I'm missing something it doesn't make sense to me so please explain-thanks..

What it meant was that when we see other parts of Nature die before our eyes, can't help but cry when something beautiful disappears. Just last weekend while driving through highway four which is a pretty lonesome highway, I saw roadkill off into the edge of the road. It was a fox. There have been cases I heard on the local news lately where some people actually run over the critters over here out of cruelty. Some follow them out into the clearing and chase them. (They were fined the ones who were caught) Yup, we're part of nature but to see other parts of it suffer, I guess we suffer too when their lovely existance is gone... Thanx for the critique Ruth. Good night!
This poem disgusts me. It disgusts me to think about how inhumane people are that kill others whether it's another human being or an animal.
