Two Paul Barers

They have all come to this place

To reflect, remember and share

About the days before a burden so heavy

Needing only two Paul Barers to bare.

The smile on her face and the warmth of her heart

She was going to make it so far

She was going to be a doctor, a lawyer

She was going to be a star

She was going to make her parents so proud

She was going to be their every dream

She was going to be a hardcore rebel

She was going to be a little rough at the seams

She was going to live and bring life to others

She was going to see and do it all

No one knew that she was destined

To take such a sudden fall

Everyone had a plan for her life

Everyone was going to play a part

Everyone thought there was so much promise

In such a promising start

But Ashes to ashes, and Ashes to dust

Here we lay Ashley in the snow-covered clay

At three months old they never guessed

That they would have lost their loved one that day.

But they all come and pay their respects

In the Funeral home Where

Such a heavy burden of burden’s

Needs only two Paul Barers to bare.

I have no idea where this came from, but it came to me this morning and I wanted to post it.

A great poem, especially for one that just came to mind. It's amazing how when everything seems so perfect, something can suddenly go wrong. And this poem is a great representation of such.

Very sad. But...just so you know, they are called Pall Bearers, not Paul Barers.
