Closing my eyes in bed every night,

Wondering what is wrong and what is right!

Waiting so patiently to drift off to sleep,

Nothing on my mind but you and still I keep,

My wonderful memories of me and you.

Just wondering what else I can do?

Waiting for what life will bring,

Waiting to hear my doorbell ring!

In hopes that one day it will be her,

Bringing back happiness to me, I'm sure!

Trying to sleep just so I can dream,

Of being with her and how real it will seem!

Not wanting to leave this world I've begun,

Because it's my heart that she has won!

Until the time I wake up from my slunder,

I will be in heaven and won't have to wonder!

She's wondering why I can't let her go,

It's because I really do love her so!!!!!
